Nina Totenberg Named a 2010 Recipient of the Edward R. Murrow Award

Murrow Award, bestowed by The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). Upon awarding Totenberg with the prestigious prize, CPB CEO Pat Harrison commented, “Nina Totenberg represents public media’s excellence in journalism…we’re pleased to honor her with this distinguished reward.”

Nina Totenberg has long covered the Supreme Court for NPR’s newsmagazines All Things Considered, Morning Edition, and Weekend Edition, and has been honored seven times by the American Bar Association for continued excellence in legal reporting. Now, with the Elena Kagan Supreme Court confirmation near certainty and with the retirement of Justice John Paul Stevens imminent, her insight is needed more than ever, as Americans prepare for change in the highest court in the country.
