PostSecret Creator Frank Warren Launches New Mobile App

For years, fans of Frank Warren’s PostSecret project have delighted in sharing and reading the secrets of strangers on the PostSecret blog and in Warren’s best-selling books. But starting in September, users will have a new way to connect, thanks to the PostSecret mobile App. Now you can capture and share your deepest thoughts—instantly and anonymously—with a vast network of fellow secret-keepers and revealers.
The app is an outgrowth of a community art project-turned cultural phenomenon. With more than 450 million hits, Warren’s PostSecret blog is the largest advertisement-free blog on the Internet. Warren called on his extensive community of PostSecret fans to create the app, which is the product of a two-year-long crowd-sourcing effort. And in keeping with Warren’s commitment to suicide prevention and awareness, the app will be integrated with the International Suicide Prevention Wiki, “the most comprehensive and current listing of suicide prevention hotlines and ‘chat-lines’ in the world,” according to the PostSecret App website.
Frank Warren may call himself an “accidental artist,” but his impact is certain. In addition to being a multiple New York Times best-selling author and award-winning blogger, his inspirational and interactive PostSecret events have touched the hearts of thousands and offered hope to young people nationwide.
