Inside The War Room with Jennifer Granholm
January 30, 2012
Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm livens the line-up at Current TV with her new nightly hourlong program, The War Room with Jennifer Granholm. Granholm’s War Room – despite its name (an intentional nod to those inside the nerve centers of campaign strategies) will not be a forum for contentious partisan showdowns. In fact, Granholm will veer from the Left vs Right scenario and instead take viewers inside the workings of campaigns, policy, and the people who define the American political world. War Room will focus on the 2012 election from all angles, and Granholm says the show’s stance will be progressive. For some levity, political satirist Brett Erlich will feature a segment that takes a comedic look at political news, in “Shush, Brett’s Talking”.
The same passion and positive energy that launched War Room keep Jennifer Granholm’s keynotes sought after again and again. One of the most respected political figures in the country, Granholm’s performances are timely and relevant. A speaker who walks her talk, Granholm leaves audiences with valuable and viable tools for creating new strategies that promote health and prosperity across the board. She has been there and she has done it — and Jennifer Granholm’s work won’t be done until all American’s can say they have, too.

Mark Kelly Honors Wife with First Lady at the State of the Union
January 26, 2012
Mark Kelly’s emotional two-day White House whirlwind culminates with beaming pride during wife Gabrielle Giffords’s 90-second standing ovation at President Obama’s 2012 State of the Union. Toss in the fact that he was seated next to First Lady Michelle Obama, Captain Mark Kelly had a stellar night.
Just one day prior, Kelly was with his wife as she bid farewell to her colleagues in Congress. Not a dry eye in the House, Nancy Pelosi’s tearful tribute to Giffords’ service also included Mark Kelly: “We thank Commander Mark Kelly, a hero in his own right, as an astronaut, and a commander of a mission. But also, our personal hero for the care and love that he has given to Gabby over this past year and before that, to help make her the person that she is.” Pelosi went on to describe Giffords as “the brightest star among us, the brightest star Congress has ever seen.” For a man whose life work takes him closer to the stars than anyone, that analogy must have really hit home.
Of course, Mark Kelly has been a revered American for many years. A decorated U.S. Navy Captain and commander of Space Shuttle Endeavour, Kelly personifies the spirit and stamina it takes to be a leader. And those same courageous values made him the heart and soul behind his wife’s miraculous recovery from the grave injuries of an attempted assassination.
A sought-after keynote speaker, Kelly, whose life is adorned with accomplishment and strengthened by struggle, is a true template for inspiration and motivation. Mark Kelly reminds audiences about the resiliency of the human spirit and guides them to accomplish their own missions – no matter what life has in store for them along way.

Keppler Speakers Dominate Successful Meetings Elite List
January 20, 2012
We’re not surprised, but we sure are proud of the Keppler exclusive speakers who topped the list of Successful Meeting magazine’s “12 Great Speakers for 2012”: Chef Jeff Henderson; Alison Levine; Captain Mark Kelly; Governor Jennifer Granholm. Based on current popularity in keynote appearances, the scope of topics they bring to audiences, and the “dynamic factor” of their performances, Successful Meetings Executive Editor Leo Jakobson profiles the best speakers in the business. Keppler Speakers boasts four exclusives on this esteemed list who live up to Jakobson’s standards in every way.
Alison Levine: How does a little girl born with a life-threatening heart condition wind up atop Mount Everest (and the highest mountains on all seven continents)? Audiences don’t just find out, they feel it in her performances, where she draws upon adventures in some of the harshest environments on the planet. Survivor, risk-taker, and leadership professor at West Point, Levine’s place atop Jakobson’s list will probably spark her fierce passion to soar higher.
Chef Jeff Henderson: A heaping helping of inspiration is what Chef Jeff serves up to motivation-starved audiences everywhere. Sprinkled with humility and heavy on the passion, Chef Jeff’s four star performances get rave reviews. With a life’s journey that spans mean streets, a ten–year prison sentence, and status as an internationally celebrated chef, naming Chef Jeff one of the top speakers in the business is just icing on the cake.
Captain Mark Kelly: Captain Mark Kelly’s powerful message of staying strong in the face of agonizing challenges brings audiences to tears every time. From headline-making missions commanding Space Shuttle Endeavour to the fight-for-life struggle he shares with wife Representative Gabrielle Giffords, Kelly is an uplifting speaker with down-to-earth charm. So, the idea of Captain Kelly landing on the 12 Great Speakers list? We call it a perfect landing.
Jennifer Granhom: One of the most respected political figures in the country and two-term Michigan governor, Jennifer Granholm’s impact as a speaker is as riveting and it is relevant. With the nation’s health and prosperity close to her heart, Granholm’s expertise in alternative energy and economic recovery is unmatched. You can see her in action on Current TV’s The War Room with Jennifer Granholm. Her audiences endorse her performances wholeheartedly, so of course she got Jakobson’s vote, too!
