01/27: Michele Norris, of NPR’s “All Things Considered,” Honored with 2010 duPont Award

Michele Norris, the critically-acclaimed co-host of NPR’s All Things Considered, has another award to add to her mantle: the 2010 Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award. The duPont Awards are widely-recognized as the most prestigious prizes in broadcast news, and serve as a tribute to journalistic integrity. Norris and her All Things Considered co-host Steve Inskeep, were recognized for “The York Project: Race and the 2008 Vote.”

Called “a remarkable series of conversations about race and its role in the 2008 election,” Norris and “The York Project” delved deep into the hot-button issue of race and the presidency. Norris and Inskeep met with a diverse group of voters in the swing state of Pennsylvania, bringing a groundbreaking exchange of voices and opinions to NPR listeners.
