THE GLASS CASTLE
I just finished Jeannette Wall’s NY Times best-selling book, THE GLASS CATLE. I have two young children and rarely have the time to sit down and read. However, I finished this memoir in TWO nights. WOW. I was captivated by Jeannette’s real life story growing up in extreme poverty and how she acquired the necessary survival skills and positive attitude to overcome the harsh obstacles she faced in her childhood.
Jeannette Walls was in our office today. She is a beautiful, well spoken, intelligent and uplifiting woman. Her speech is a powerful inspirational story of hope and the triumph of the human spirit. Jeannette’s message speaks to each one of us about failure (and the valuable lessons it carries) and perseverance.
