Congratulations to Academy Award-Winner Alex Gibney!
February 25, 2008
Congratulations to Alex Gibney, whose documentary Taxi to the Dark Side won the 2008 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. An in-depth look at the torture practices of the United States in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Guantanamo Bay, the film focuses on an innocent taxi driver who was tortured and killed in 2002. The film, a multiple award-winner, is an emotional, thought-provoking treatise on the American military.
Gibney, who had previously been nominated for an Oscar for Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, speaks on the importance of asking questions and understanding the world around us. Contact your Keppler representative for more information on bringing his fascinating discussions to your campus.
