Sustainability and social responsibility – these are key hot button societal issues that increasingly drive business strategy. General Electric, Wal-Mart, Honda, Goldman Sachs and Intel are among the many companies to find that “customer-conscious” strategies are more than good public relations. By utilizing practices that focus on the environment, economic growth and social and economic equality, companies can feed their bottom line and build customer loyalty. As G.E. Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey R. Immelt succinctly put it, “Green is green.”

Connecting with customer values is a strategy smart companies are increasingly using to innovate, create value and build competitive advantage. In fact, in a McKinsey Quarterly survey of 3,500 global executives, 87% cited changing consumer tastes and values as the most important trend that will impact their business over the next five years.

What does this mean for your organization and industry, and what are the trends? Keppler Speakers can deliver the expert analysis and insights your audience needs.

Bob Woodward Reveals an Administration in Denial Over Iraq War

October 03, 2006

State of Denial.jpg

Washington Post investigative reporter Bob Woodward has just released his latest book, State of Denial: Bush at War, Part III. State of Denial examines the Bush administration’s avoidance of the truth regarding the situation in Iraq to the public, the Congress and often to the administration itself.

Bob Woodward’s third book on President Bush is a sweeping narrative — from the first days George W. Bush thought seriously about running for president, through the recruitment of his national security team, the war in Afghanistan, the invasion and occupation of Iraq and the struggle for political survival in the second term.

After more than three decades of reporting on national security decision making — including his two #1 national bestsellers on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, Bush at War (2002) and Plan of Attack (2004) — Woodward provides a full account and explanation of the controversial road that President Bush, Vice President Cheney, Secretary Rumsfeld, Secretary Rice and the White House staff have followed in the execution of the Iraq War.
