Jeff Corwin and Anderson Cooper Team Up for the Environment
Jeff Corwin and Anderson Cooper are teaming up on Anderson Cooper 360º to highlight the catastrophic effects of global climate change and to educate viewers on what can be done to prevent the future warming and destruction of the planet. Throughout 2007, Corwin will make periodic appearances on CNN’s highly-rated primetime news program, in a new segment called “Planet in Peril.” Corwin and Cooper will travel throughout the world, from the Amazon rainforest to Cambodia, to the Florida Everglades and the Arctic, examining the impact of global warning and other environmental catastrophes on both human and wildlife habitat.
360º executive producer David Doss says that the series is a chance to visit and examine many of the places mentioned in the Al Gore documentary, An Inconvenient Truth. It will give viewers the opportunity to see in depth reporting on the interlocking pieces of the environmental puzzle.
Corwin and Cooper are two of the most respected men in their fields, and this collaboration is certain to generate further discussion on the future of planet Earth, as well as suggestions and ideas for what can be done to stop climate change before it imperils our survival.
