Soledad O’Brien Named Special Correspondent at CNN
Soledad O’Brien has shifted her duties at CNN and has been named its newest anchor and special correspondent. Leaving anchor duties at American Morning, she joins the CNN: Special Investigations Unit, where she will now have the opportunity to provide in-depth and thorough reports on significant stories all over the world, free from the anchor’s desk.
The winner of numerous awards, including a Gracie Allen Award, George Foster Peabody Award, Alfred I. DuPont Award, and NAACP President’s Award, O’Brien is one of the country’s premier television journalists. Having delivered some of the most memorable stories of our time, her passion for real news, feel for people, and her ability to get the real answers from newsmakers has made her an incredible asset and a journalist of tremendous ability. Ken Burns Premiering “The War” at Cannes
