Ken Burns’ “The War” Premieres on PBS

Ken Burns’ much-anticipated seven-part documentary, The War, will premier on PBS stations this Sunday, September 23. Burns’ electrifying film, coupled with his incredible oratory, teaches timeless lessons on humanity and the American spirit.
Since premiering in May at the Cannes Film Festival, The War has garnered incredible public attention. An epic account of World War II, the film tells the story of the greatest conflict in history through the personal recollections of men and women from four quintessential American towns. Exploring the human dimension of combat, a diverse group of veterans describe the experience of war from Omaha Beach to Guadalcanal, and recount their experiences returning home after war.
