Kirk Lippold.jpgCommander Kirk Lippold, whose fearless command of the USS Cole after it was attacked by terrorists in 2000, is back in the news after the government of Yemen’s decision to release the terrorist behind the attack.

Commander Kirk Lippold has addressed the media in response to Yemen releasing one of the leaders of the 2000 attack against the USS Cole. The Justice Department and US government are extremely disappointed with Yemen’s decision to release Jamal al-Badawi, one of the FBI’s most wanted terrorists, and have expressed their anger to the Yemeni government.

Lippold, the commander of the Cole when it was attacked has stated, “In the war on terrorism, actions speak stronger than words, and this act by the Yemini government is a clear demonstration that they are neither a reliable nor trustworthy partner in the war on terrorism.”

A respected Navy leader, Lippold’s moving and motivational presentations provide first-hand insight into the war on terror. An example of unparalleled leadership, he shows audiences the true honor and excellence of the military, and offers his own personal leadership lessons. His presentations develop leaders and help empower employees, helping businesses run smoothly, even in moments of extreme crisis.
