Remembering Our Friend Charlton Heston
Keppler Speakers mourns the passing of our longtime friend and colleague, Charlton Heston. One of the company’s most successful speakers, Heston leaves behind a legacy of treasured films and political activism.
Heston began his film career in the 1950s, and his legendary roles cemented him as one of the greatest actors of a generation. From The Ten Commandments and Ben-Hur to Touch of Evil and Planet of the Apes, he made a lasting impression on Hollywood.
Also heavily involved in social causes, Heston supported Martin Luther King, Jr. and participated in the 1963 March on Washington. He later became involved in more conservative politics, speaking about a “cultural war” in America, and serving as president of the NRA for many years.
As the tributes to him pour in, we at Keppler Speakers will remember Heston as one of the country’s most popular speakers, who was unafraid to speak his mind and was instrumental in the company’s growth during our long partnership.
