CNN congressional and White House correspondent Ed Henry was honored with the Merriman Smith Award for White House reporting under deadline pressure at the annual White House Correspondents Association Dinner. The Association, which was formed as a liaison between the press and the president has been attended by every sitting president since Calvin Coolidge.
