John Amaechi Addresses NCAA Delegates

January 14, 2008

John Amaechi’s participation at last weekend’s NCAA National Conference in Nashville is another in a long line of prestigious events that he has been asked to speak at in recent months. From addressing administrators at the National Association of Independent Schools to business owners in Washington, DC’s huge Out and Equal Conference, Amaechi has been able to address thousands of students, but also key policy makers, business leaders, and educators.

Titled “Time Out: A Conversation About Including Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Student Athletes,” the panel featured Amaechi along with Neil Guiliano, the president of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) and Laurie Priest, the director of athletics at Mount Holyoke College.

John Amaechi is one of the most compelling and charismatic speakers there is on success and leadership, overcoming adversity, and dealing with prejudice both within ourselves and in society. You owe it to your campus to bring his inspiring and original message to your community this year.
