From the summer camp cult classic Wet Hot American Summer to the popular sketch comedy shows The State and Stella, Michael Showalter is known for his hilarious deadpan observations of everyday living. With an incredible array of projects lined up for the coming months, Showalter is sure to create campus buzz this fall. Act fast, as his September and October calendar is filling up quickly!

Comedian Speaker Michael Showalter.jpgIn exciting television news, Showalter will star in an upcoming Comedy Central reunion of The State, as well as a new project with Michael Ian Black, Michael & Michael Have Issues. Showalter also recently signed a book deal with Grand Central Publishing, the powerhouse behind the recent best-sellers by Stephen Colbert, Amy Sedaris, and the Daily Show.

This spring and summer, Showalter will be busy performing at premiere comedy and music festivals around the country. First, he is headlining the comedy tent at the Sasquatch Music Fest at The Gorge in Washington State from May 24-26, and then moves onto Bumbershoot, Seattle’s Music & Arts Festival from August 30-September 1.

Showalter’s recently released first stand-up CD, Sandwiches and Cats, is available in stores now.
