Joel Makower has nearly 20 years of experience in corporate environmental practices and green technology. The Associated Press has called him "the guru of green business practices." The founder of Greenbiz.com, Makower provides information on environmental business issues and creative ideas for promoting marketplace sustainability.
Joel Makower is currently a Batten Fellow at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, where is he compiling a book of business case studies to be titled The Case for Sustainability. He is also co-founder of Clean Edge Inc., a research firm devoted to clean energy technology, and acts as a senior consultant to GreenOrder, a sustainability strategy firm. He has consulted for many Fortune 500 companies include Gap, General Motors, Hewlett Packard, and Proctor and Gamble. His variety of experience within the environmental marketplace makes him highly desirable, both as an environmental speaker and as a business speaker.
