About Kerry Kennedy

Activist Kerry Kennedy is an advocate for the protection and promotion of fair and equal justice, the defense of basic human rights, and the rule of law worldwide. The author of Speak Truth to Power, which features interviews with international human rights activists, Kennedy has led over 40 human rights delegations to over 30 countries, all with the goal of preserving the rule of law and human dignity. Currently, she is chair of the Amnesty International Leadership Council, and is a judge for the Reebok Human Rights Award. She is also the author of Being Catholic Now, a collection of over 30 interviews with prominent Catholics, discussing their beliefs and connection to the church.

In her presentations, Kerry Kennedy shares her insights and reflections based on more than 20 years of investigating and publicizing human rights abuses worldwide, as well as her experience as a lifelong, practicing Catholic. She discusses how the nonprofit organization, the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial, named for her late father, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, has worked to address the problems of social justice through urban and political activism and recognition of journalistic and literary integrity.
