About Morgan Spurlock

Creator and host of the reality program 30 Days on the FX Network, campus speaker Morgan Spurlock became his own guinea pig in the Academy Award nominated 2004 hit documentary Super Size Me. As writer, director, and producer of the film, Spurlock shed light on the epidemic of obesity in America, making one of the highest-grossing documentaries in history.

With fun and sobering humor, Morgan Spurlock gives audiences a look at the legal, financial, and physical costs of America’s hunger for fast food. He explains the reasons for making Super Size Me, along with what he discovered about America’s obesity problems in schools, hospitals, and physical education, while also offering solutions to beat back this growing epidemic. His second film, Where in the World is Osama bin Laden?, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and opened to rave reviews in April 2008.

In January 2010, FOX premiered his popular documentary celebration of The Simpsons, The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3-D on Ice!
