Jan McInnis

The business world is a gold mine for comedy. For keynote speaker and comedian Jan McInnis, her life is dedicated to “finding the funny” in that rich source material, as well as drawing out the lessons we can learn from humor. 

Before becoming a highly sought-after business humorist, keynote speaker, and comedian, McInnis spent 15 years climbing the corporate ladder as a marketing director. With seasoned experience in the 9 to 5 world under her belt, she has cornered the association and corporate convention market. Over her 25-plus years on the full-time speaking circuit, she has keynoted at hundreds of conferences, employee retreats and banquets held by such groups as Anthem Blue-Cross, John Deere, the Federal Reserve Banks, Women in Insurance & Financial Services and the Mayo Clinic.

McInnis, who has a gift for insightful, humorous analysis, was featured in the Wall Street Journal as one of the top convention comedians whose material is clean, in the Washington Post for her clean comedy writing, and the Huffington Post for her clean humor. Her programs are continually described as "hilarious" with audiences "roaring with laughter" or "rolling in the aisles."

McInnis is also an established comedy writer who has also sold comedy material to just about everyone, from the Tonight Show monologue, to greeting cards, hundreds of radio stations, syndicated cartoon strips, and even guests on the Jerry Springer Show (her parents are proud!). She is author of two books Finding the Funny Fast: How to Create Quick Humor to Connect with Clients, Coworkers and Crowds, and Convention Comedian – Stories And Wisdom From Two Decades Of Chicken Dinners And Comedy Clubs. She also has a new podcast available through itunes titled Comedian Stories – Tales From the Road in Under 5 Minutes.
