Sam Whiteout
Sam Whiteout engages audiences in the kinds of conversations about race and social injustice we too often avoid in a way that is honest, genuine, and inclusive.
Sam is a social media viral sensation and committed social justice activist. His work centers on creating space for and developing conversations about issues of race, allyship, and politics, while offering advice on how to navigate unfamiliar territory, specifically for young people looking to get involved in campus activism.
Since becoming a viral internet sensation through stroll and shimmy videos with his fraternity brothers at Villanova University, Sam has used his platform to address a myriad of issues associated with social justice and identity and the ways in which they interconnect. Central to Sam’s message of #BeYouBeGreat is the idea that you do not have to identify as something to care about it or recognize its value – allyship is an essential tool in strategically working towards progress.
Sam is an example of what integrating social justice into your life looks like for others and how to do so with transparency and authenticity. Drawing on his college experience, his inclusive outlook encourages others to get involved in their own ways, while his interactive presentations draw audiences into engaging dialogues that remain meaningful and transformative well beyond the event.
Sam was awesome—I was lucky enough to be there with him! He was beyond wonderful and a Everything went very well. Sam arrived early and was willing to chat with students at the coffee shop and learn more about their experiences on campus. Our students really enjoyed that! The speaking event also went well and I believe his message was definitely impactful!
