Eddie Osterland

America's First Master Sommelier & Author of Power Entertaining

From CEOs and executives to Fortune 500 companies, Eddie Osterland helps audiences master the art of food and wine while winning clients and cementing business relationships.

Eddie is America's first master sommelier and an internationally acclaimed expert in the world of food and wine. For more than 25 years, he has performed his workshops and given educational and highly entertaining "during dinner" presentations on “Power Entertaining with Food and Wine.” Clients use Eddie's lifestyle coaching to strengthen customer relationships, design annual client-appreciation events, and execute corporate events that go well beyond expectations. They realize how today, more than ever, you cannot afford to be inexperienced about food and wine — the international currency for connection.

After becoming the first American to earn the grueling Master Sommelier Diploma in London in 1973, he worked as director of trade education at the International Wine Center in New York City, and served as the wine editor for Restaurant Business magazine. He is author of Power Entertaining: Secrets to Building Lasting Relationships, Hosting Unforgettable Events, and Closing Big Deals from America's 1st Master Sommelier.

Witty and approachable, Eddie shares with audiences the knowledge they need to enhance client impressions and confidently entertain. With his incomparable expertise as a master sommelier, he helps audiences win business, close deals, and generate referrals – simply by creating a memorable, hospitable experience.
