Andrew Winston
Andrew Winston is a globally recognized expert on the business case for good corporate governance and how to build companies that thrive by serving the world.
His latest book, co-authored with former Unliver CEO Paul Polman, is Net Positive: How Courageous Companies Thrive by Giving More than They Take. Net Positive lays out the business principles and practices that will lead to the change and transformation necessary to combat climate change and inequality. Winston’s book, about which Al Gore said, “A compelling and inspiring case that business can—and should—boost their bottom lines by contributing and protecting the environment,” was featured on the Thinkers50 list of the 10 Best New Management Books for 2022. Named a Financial Times’ Best Business Book of the Year, it has been called an “electrifying strategy for business success and unlike any other book you’ve read” by Merck Chairman Ken Frazier, a “wonderful rallying call” by Sir Richard Branson, and “pure heresy” by Arianna Huffington.
Winston’s first book, Green to Gold, has reached more than 100,000 people in seven languages, and Inc. Magazine included it on its all-time list of 30 books that every manager should own. His book The Big Pivot was selected as one of the "Best Business Books" by Strategy+Business magazine and provides a practical roadmap to help leaders build resilient, thriving companies and communities in a volatile world.
Andrew was selected for Thinkers50 list of the top management thinkers in the world. His earlier career included advising companies on corporate strategy while at the Boston Consulting Group and strategy and marketing roles at Time Warner and MTV. His views on business strategy have been sought after by many of the world’s leading companies, including 3M, DuPont, J&J, Kimberly-Clark, Marriott, PepsiCo, PwC, and Unilever, and he incorporates many of the secrets and best practices behind their stories of success. With audiences, Winston shares his entertaining message of practical optimism: the world’s challenges are great, but business has the tools, resources, and creativity to build a prosperous world.
