Widely known as Dr. Manny, popular FOX News contributor, Manny Alvarez, M.D. has established himself as a distinguished medical expert and one of the most sought after doctors in the country. As senior managing health editor for Fox News and its affiliates, Alvarez offers expertise on a variety of top-rated shows including, Fox & Friends, Your World w/Cavuto, The Kelly File and the O’Reilly Factor.

Dr. Manny started his journalism career as a health science reporter for Telemundo, where he developed a popular nightly news segment entitled A Dose of Health. In 2005, he joined Fox News Channel as a medical contributor and demonstrated his expertise during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Since 1996, he’s served as chairman of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Science at Donna A. Sanzari Women’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center. He is also examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and an adjunct professor at NYU’s School of Medicine. Author of "The Checklist: What You and Your Family Need to Know to Prevent Disease and Live a Long and Healthy Life" and "The Hot Latin Diet: The Fast-Track Plan to a Bombshell Body," he has also published several research papers on various health-related topics.
