Comedian, actor, writer, and celebrity speaker Michael Ian Black is most recognized for his comic commentary on VH1's popular I Love the '70s/'80s/'90s series. His deadpan delivery of information and opinions keeps audiences entertained and laughing.
Michael Ian Black first came into the public spotlight as a co-founder and star of the groundbreaking sketch comedy show The State, which ran on CBS and MTV for a total of six years. Most recently, he collaborated with his The State partner, Michael Showalter, on the Comedy Central series, Michael and Michael Have Issues. His other work includes starring in and co-creating the comedy series Stella on Comedy Central, playing McKinley in the comedy cult-classic Wet Hot American Summer opposite Paul Rudd and Janeane Garafalo, a regular role on NBC's hit drama Ed and host of Comedy Central's Reality Bites Back.
Michael Ian Black is now working as editor-at-large of Cracked, the half century-old humor magazine. He has contributed to CNN on politics and current events and also writes a column called "Michael Ian Black Is a Very Famous Celebrity," for the online edition of McSweeney's. In 2013, Michael joined the Fox series Us & Them as a series regular. His first book, My Custom Van (And 50 Other Mind-Blowing Essays That Will Blow Your Mind All Over Your Face), came out to rave reviews in July 2008, and his book You're Not Doing It Right, is a dark but hilarious essay collection of the neuroses that have plagued him since childhood and how they shaped him into the man he is today.
